He trabajado en gestión ambiental y educación ambiental con diferentes organizaciones y grupos humanos, empresas públicas y privadas, ONG´s, comunidades campesinas e indigenas amazónicas. Mi aproximación a la problemática ambiental empezó desde cuando realicé mi tesis de biología en tecnologías apropiadas para el tratamiento de aguas negras y a partir de entonces, segui trabajando con tecnologias apropiadas, educación ambiental y gestión ambiental de proyectos de infraestructura básica. Realicé un diplomado en Habilidades Básicas Gerenciales, en la Universidad de EAFIT, el curso “Environmental Managment Program” en la Universida de Pittsburgh. (P.A.) e inicié una maestria en desarrollo sostenible en la Universidad Javeriana. Soy miembro sedentario de la Caravana del Arco Iris por la Paz, y de la semilla que ha germinado en Medellín (Colombia). He participado en dos encuentros bioregionales en Antioquia - Colombia, y lider de la tertulia ambiental y Círculo de Paz, procesos gestados en el primer encuentro bioregional. He andado por los caminos del crecimiento espiritual, a traves del yoga, budismo zen, Tai-Chi. Feng-Shui, técnicas de Castaneda y Victor Sánchez. A traves de los cuales me aproximo un poco mas hacia la ecologia profunda y la integralidad y mirada holistica del mundo.

Biologist , environmental specialist, 37 years old, started to work with environmental aspects with her thesis in biology, on sewage biological treatment, Since, she has worked in environmental management and education with different organizations and human groups, such as governmental organizations, private company, NGO´s, indigenous communities, utility company and infrastructure projects, especially in energy power generation and transmission projects. Beatriz attended the “Environmental Managment Program” at Pittsburgh University (P.A.), a Degree in Management Skills at EAFIT University and started a masters in Sustainable Development at Universidad Javeriana (Colombia).
She is a sedentary member of the Rainbow Peace Caravan, and caretaker for the seed they have planted and which is germanating in Medellín (Colombia). She been in two Bioregional Meetings in Antioquia, Colombia, and was a leader of the Environmental Social gathering and The Peace Circle, both of them processes born in the first bioregional meeting.
